About Project Echelon
Project Echelon is one of the UK’s premier Xbox 360 gaming resources, incorporating an active clan community and information centre.
Formed in May 2006, Project Echelon (PE) has developed into a successful network of like-minded mature Xbox gamers. Basing our vision on a supportive ‘family’ model, we pride ourselves in avoiding the stereotype of many typical clans. Although we do have a competitive edge to our gaming and actively participate in fiercely fought match events against other groups, this is not our soul focus. We believe in drawing people together, building relationships, making friends, mutual respect, opening doors, and of course promoting and enjoying our mutual fascination of the Xbox universe around a social ‘hub’. When we play, we play to win; but winning isn’t everything. No-one enjoys losing either, but we brush it off and learn from it; looking forward to our next challenge.
As a community, our members’ interests cover every gaming genre from platformers and retro arcades to beat-em-up fighting and 1st/3rd Person shooters. We love any opportunity to come together in a ‘team’ game and share the thrill of the hunt. In fact acting as a team is a firm believe of ours, and possibly why we leave no-one behind. This has added to our community feel and many say we’re like a 2nd family to them, such is the support base we have for each other.
Project Echelon has grown from strength-to-strength over the years, and has helped draw many gamers and console enthusiasts together; many mixing across the expanse of game genres online in our forums, and establishing strong friendships. It’s a great experience when we eventually meet each year for our annual gathering, and we often extend invitations to this to our other respected groups with whom we have a good relationship.
We recently stepped in a new direction by expanding our already substantial industry news and games research, as demonstrated by our discussion boards. Project Echelon is proud to now present a dedicated blogging system through the Word Press tool. This will allow us further opportunity for personal gamer blogs, game and console reviews, game and digital design tutorials, and short stories inspired by the environments and events we use.
